I came alone, seeking quiet time to write a book I’ve been putting off for too long.

No car, miles from any town, like a kid again – but at my age, would I like it? – I loved it. The main reason was its stunning location – it is absolutely beautiful, as well as natural, unspoiled, and framed by mountain peaks just across the valley which are are no less than majestic.
