The whole area is excellent mountaineering country and the weather is as fine as you’re likely to encounter anywhere in the Icelandic mountains.
Akureyri (AEY) to Engimýri Guesthouse
- Turn right out of Akureyri Airport.
- Follow Road 821 north onto Road 1. (Will merge)
- Follow Road 1 out through and out of Akureyri town.
- Stay on road 1 for 30 mins
- Engimýri Gusthouse will be on the right hand side of road 1
